With their fourth loss in a row still fresh, a former New York Giants offensive lineman made the result more painful Sunday night.
Jon Feliciano, who now plays for the San Francisco 49ers, took to X to dunk on the Giants after the Washington Commanders beat them 27-22. It improved Washington’s record to 7-2 while dropping the Giants to 2-7. Feliciano shaded the Giants, whom he played for in 2022, for letting go of OL coach Bobby Johnson at the start of the offseason.

“Crazy WASH is 7-2 with that sh*tty OL coach @ giants twitter,” Feliciano wrote with side-eyes emojis.
Johnson lasted two years as Giants’ offensive line coach. The Giants allowed a league-high 85 sacks last season after finishing with the fifth-most allowed (49) in 2022. The rushing attack was also less potent this season. After ranking fourth in rushing yardage (148.2 yards per game) in 2022, the Giants finished 16th (110.2 yards per game) in 2023. According to PFF, the Giants’ pass blocking and run blocking graded as the worst in the NFL.
Johnson has more than 13 years of NFL coaching experience and previously served as offensive line coach with the Buffalo Bills.
In 2024 under Carmen Bricillo, the Giants have allowed 28 sacks, the fifth-most in the NFL, and they rank 19th in rushing yards per game with 114.7. The Commanders, meanwhile, have let rookie Jayden Daniels get sacked 18 times, which ranks as the seventh-fewest, and have 163.9 rushing yards per game, third-most, thanks, in part, to their QB’s elusiveness.
In the comments of his post, Feliciano made it known that he doesn’t blame Daniel Jones or coach Brian Daboll, whom he “loves” and expects to “right the ship eventually.” He repeatedly mentioned the Giants relying on practice squad guys too much over the past few years because of injuries.
“Bobby J was crucial in my career. (Least) I can do is flex for him as he’s helping turning an organization around,” Feliciano wrote.
